Outline brief
The Adventure Quest team challenge is all about navigating to score the most points within the allotted time by using team work, skill and cunning. Collect as many controls as possible and complete the activities en-route, but beware, the higher the control value the harder it is to obtain, so choose your route wisely! Typical activities include rope bridge crossing, problem solving, abseiling, mountain biking, sailing, sea kayaking and archery.
Depending on participant numbers, each team may be divided into 2 patrols – a foot patrol that can collect points at all controls and a bike patrol that can only collect points at specific mountain bike controls. Each of the activity bases usually has a maximum points value – 15 points per person for completing the challenge within time – teams will have scheduled times for some activities with a time limit of 30 minutes per team, others can be completed by each patrol at anytime. Teams/patrols must be finished and back at base within time, otherwise 5 points are deducted from their total score for every minute late, ouch!
