Walk description: The initial walk through Glen Rosa’s natural amphitheatre is stunning, as is the climb to Cir Mhor’s summit via Fionn Choire. From the summit of Cir Mhor (799m), the path hugs the ridge around the top of Glen Sannox. It then climbs to the great turrets of natural rock marking the top of Caisteal Abhail (859m), looking like the remains of ancient castles that once guarded the heart of the Arran hills. Some of the best views to be seen on these hills are from here, with a panorama that takes in the whole island and beyond: Make sure you bring a camera! The final leg of this walk heads northwards down to Sail an Im before descending into North Glen Sannox.
