What to expect
With the development of off-road routes, trails and single-track, mountain biking on the Isle of Arran has never been so good!
Accompanied by an experienced mountain bike leader, you will learn the basic skills that make mountain biking fun and safe, including efficient gear selection, balance, riding over obstacles, body position, stopping without skidding, climbing, descending, cornering and riding in a group.
This trail session is suitable for beginners and novice mountain bike riders.
What's Included?
- Giant Rincon Mountain Bikes and helmets.
- The services of a fully qualified mountain bike leader.
Personal Equipment Required
- Sturdy shoes, e.g. trainers
- A set of waterproofs, just in case it rains
- A small rucksack
- A bottle of water / juice & a snack
Depending on season:
- A warm layer, e.g. fleece
- Hat & Gloves
- Insect defence
- Sunglasses
Additional Information
Disposable cameras are available to purchase from the Adventure Centre shop.
Children
We would recommended a minimum age of 10 years for this activity. Time out for parents? Unaccompanied teenagers (12+) are welcome on this session.
When does this activity run?
Frequently through the main season (Easter-Sept); other times by arrangement. Private youth and adult groups, by arrangement.
