What to expect
An ideal time to get some quality coaching from one of our top-notch instructors. Whatever level you're currently at with your kayaking, we will take the time to give you the best instruction and help you towards the next level. For coaching sessions use Dagger "Approach" general purpose kayaks, which are stable but very responsive, so we can really develop your technique.
Suitability / Grading
This depends what you're looking for! It could be anything from basic paddling technique to Eskimo Rolls - your call!
What's Included?
- Group minibus transport is provided from the
Adventure Centre in Brodick.
- The services of a fully qualified instructor.
- All specialist equipment and kit, including
a kayak, a paddle, wetsuit, cagoule and
buoyancy aid.
Personal Equipment Required
- Swimwear
- Towel
- Aqua shoes / old trainers / wellies
- Bottle of water / juice
- Any personal medication
Depending on season and weather:
- Long-sleeved top / light-weight fleece / thermals
- Sunglasses
- Hat
- Sunscreen
Additional Information
Kayaking is a water-based activity and there is the possibility of getting wet. All participants must be water confident and will wear the personal flotation device that we supply whilst on the water.
Disposable waterproof cameras are available for sale at the Adventure Centre shop.
Children
This session is intended for adults and older teens (16+)
Where to check in
Please arrive at the Adventure Centre 10 minutes before the start of the activity. You will find us in the grounds of the Auchrannie House Hotel and Spa, at the rear of the swimming pool complex.
Private Groups
If you there are 6 or more people in your group, we can offer a private kayaking session. Why not ask our staff for more information.
