What to expect
The choice of route will depend on wind and tide but the most likely options are a trip between Corrie & Brodick, Lamlash & Whiting Bay or perhaps from Lamlash over to the Holy Isle and back. The session will begin on the beach with instruction on the equipment and how to get in and out of the kayak. Once afloat, you will be amazed how easy it is and there will be plenty of time for one-to-one coaching to improve your style and technique. We aim to keep you dry and warm, but if you capsize you will know what to do and your instructor will be ready to help you get back into your kayak.
Wildlife
The touring element of this trip allows us to constantly explore new coastlines and kayaks allow you to get close to the shoreline where you will be able to see wildlife and the seabed at close proximity. There is a possibility of seeing seals, otters, porpoise and a wide variety of sea birds and your guide will answer any questions you may have about the wildlife around this beautiful coast.
We are committed to the WiSe wildlife watching code of conduct, which aims to respect the wild nature of animals and not to cause undue disturbance.
